I primi dieci capitoli di Midnight

Damon is human as the book starts but a very vicious one at that. He gets Misao's star ball to re-open the gate to the Dark Dimension and takes Bonnie with him by accident. Damon is then turned back into a vampire by Princess Jessalyn while poor Bonnie gets sold as a slave. Shinichi buys Bonnie to extract information about Miaso's star ball. Since the group had drained power out of it Miaso was dying. Shinichi throws Bonnie out of a window but Damon of course comes to save the day and catches her. Meanwhile back in Fell's Church things are heating up. Matt is arrested for assaulting Caroline and Stefan, Elena and Mrs. flowers have to get him out. They bring in Saber a giant dog Sage left to protect them and Caroline changes into a werewolf at the sight of him. All the other officials at the court also turn into werewolves. When Matt is free Stefan and Elena go into the Dark Dimension to find their friends, which they do at Lady Ulma's house. Soon after the four of them travel to the Nether World in search of the biggest star ball ever made in hopes that it will save their poor little town from The Last Midnight (the Last Midnight is then revealed to be all the possessed children taking guns or knives and attacking their parents). Sage is the guardian of the Gate where the treasures are, including the star ball. He lets the group pass and take treasures from every one of the 7 gateways. Meredith discovers that she had a twin brother named Cristian, who almost died but Klaus had taken him when they were just 3 years old when the "attack" went on with her grandfather. She also tells the group what she really is, which is a hunter-slayer, but also some type of vampire with kitten teeth and her parents have been feeding her a tiny amount of blood every week (in the form of blood sausages). The kitsunes say they are working for someone else, someone else who told them to destroy Fell's Church. It turns out to be Obaasan, Isobel's Grandmother. She is the most powerful Kitsune in the world and the star ball belongs to her. In the Nether World, the group finds the star ball but not before Damon is unexpectedly killed by a tree that stakes him right through the chest, piercing his heart area, while he saved Bonnie from falling to her death. Elena uses her "Wings Of Destruction" on the tree and the star ball is destroyed as well, which also destroyed Obaasan (the other two kitsunes die earlier in the story because they regret what they had done. They die from "The Sin Of Regret") and also managed to save Fell's Church. Mrs. Flowers changed into a younger version of herself before Obaasan died. Everyone, including Elena, Stefan and especially Bonnie, mourns the terrible and unexpected death of Damon, while Elena promises to never forget him or how she loved him. The imperial court agrees to reverse what was done in Fell's Church (in return for the treasures they had collected) and erase the memory of what happened there. Elena can go back home as if she had never died and Stefan will be accepted as her boyfriend. Vicki Bennett and Sue Carson both get their lives back, but unfortunately, there is nothing at all that can be done for Damon. Stefan and Elena sit in her old room and cherish the memories that they have of him. The book ends in the Nether World. It is raining from the tree Elena had destroyed and liquid drips onto a lifeless body. Only it seems to not be lifeless; it thinks of a girl with golden hair and blue eyes, and a girl with a small face and brown eyes. Elena and Bonnie. It says if he can only remember who he is, he can live again, and with time a self revalation came. Damon.

damon muore per salvare bonnie e elena chiede ai guardiiani di ristabilire tutto come era prima senza laus e i diavoli però insieme a stefan e dio damon è morto e tutti si accorgono che bonnie sta male quanto elena e stefan premuroso e intuitivo come sempre commenta che anche bonnie amava damon e viceversa *W* solo che nelle ultime due pagine c'è un capitolo dove fa vedere damon nel mondo dei morti il suo coprpo disteso al suolo senza vita e la smith scrive che dal cielo cadono due goccie due lacrime di due donne che lui amava elena e bonnie e appena le goccie lo toccano lui stringe il pugno e fa capire che si resuscitra ò.ò cioè mi ha lasciata cm un ebete avevo le lacrime agli occhi come si può cioè adesso devo leggere anche gli altri libri per capirci qualcosa ma sinceramente lisa mi è andata sulle palle secondo me ci ha presi tutti per il culo mah non sapete quanto ci sono rimasta male
